FAY E T T E VILLE, Ark. — Former Roland Rangers pitcher Carson Wiggins saw action for the second-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks in the Southeastern Conference series finale against Texas A&M on Friday at Baum-Walker Stadium.
Wiggins pitched an inning with no strikeouts and gave up an earned run on a hit in Game 2 of Friday’s doubleheader.
For the season, Wiggins is 1-0 with a 2.77 earned-run average. He has pitched 13 innings, all in relief, with 17 strikeouts.
The Hogs (34-7 overall, 13-5 in SEC play) won Friday’s Game 1 by a score of 11-5 before losing the nightcap 9-2. The Aggies took Thursday night’s series opener 7-4.
After a two-game home series against Arkansas-Little Rock that started Tuesday and ended this evening, the Razorbacks will return to SEC play with a three-game road series at Florida, with game times at 5:30 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday.
