Kozie Quilters present Quilts of Valor

The Kozie Quilters of Sequoyah County hosted a Kozie Quilters Quilts of Valor presentation on April 2 at Trinity Methodist Church, east of Muldrow on Hwy. 64. Five local veterans were each recognized and awarded a Quilt of Valor for their service to our great country. Family, friends and church members were present to witness the ceremony. Veterans honored were (from left) Dale Phelps, James Allsup, Lynn Allsup, Montea Wight Jr. and Robert Kahley. The group welcomes new members who enjoy sewing, quilting, learning, sharing patters, and sometimes a potluck.
