The Roland Lady Rangers track team will begin its 2025 spring season at Friday’s Henryetta Invitational, which will begin at 10 a.m.
The Lady Rangers return four members from last year’s team.
Mira Reagan is expected to run in the 100-meter dash, participate in the long jump and be a member of the 400-meter and 800-meter relay teams.
Danielle McElhaney will be in the shot put, while Jestina Cantrell will be in the discus.
Abby Bower will be in the 1,600-meter run with Molly Carver and the 3,200-meter relay team along with Carver, Anistyn Howard and Cadence Cole.
Cole and Howard will be in the 800-meter dash.
Adriana Moya will be in the 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash. Moya will be joined by Aita Ndoye Diene in the 400-meter dash.
Moya also will be a part of the 400- and 800-meter relays with Reagan, who was one of two Lady Rangers to participate in powerlifting for the first time in school history.
“We are a young team with lots of potential,” said Roland girls track coach Tina Ramos, who is beginning her second year at the helm. “I feel that once we get into track shape, these girls will be successful.”
