Gans Elementary has announced preenrollment for Pre-3, Pre-4 and Kindergarten students, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 8-9, in the rock building student records office.
If your child currently attends Gans School, they will need to reenroll. To enroll a child, the parent must bring an original birth certificate, updated shot record, Social Security card and CDIB card if applicable. Also, proof of residence (electric bill, water bill etc.) and the child must be potty trained.
All documents must be presented at the time of enrollment or your cild’s enrollment cannot be completed.
Pre-K3 students must be 3-years-old before Sept. 1, while Pre-K4 students must be age 4, and Kindergarten, 5.
Hearing and vision screenings will not be conducted, so students do not have to be present during pre-enrollment.
The state requires the following shots before a child may enter school: Pre-K: Four DTaP, three Polio, one MMR, three Hep B, two Hep A, and one Varicella.
Kindergarten: Five DTaT, four Polio, two MMR, three Hep B, two Hep A, and one Varicella.
