Rose Marie Smith

Feb. 20, 1960 – Feb. 12, 2025

Services for Rose Marie Smith, 64, of Sallisaw, were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Greater New Bethel Baptist Church in Sallisaw under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Services.

She was born on Feb. 20, 1960 in El Paso, Texas, to Frances (Stokes) Medearis. She died on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025, in Fort Smith, Ark.

She was an excellent cook. She worked in several Texas restaurants and later at Holly Carburetor in Sallisaw.

Survivors include her mother; companion, Gregory Raines; and siblings, Timmy Medearis, Colleen Medearis, Jeri Barnes, Terry Stokes, Karen Jones, Geraldine Stokes and Tony Jones She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Rosalie Brinlee.
