Gans Grizzlies drop baseball season opener to Keota
The 2025 baseball season did not get underway as desired for the Gans Grizzlies as they lost 19-0 to the visiting Keota Lions on Friday after the game had been rained out March 4.
The Lions, who scored once in the first inning and seven runs in the second inning for an 8-0 lead, scored 11 runs in the third inning to put the game into run-rule status.
The Grizzlies (0-1) were no-hit by Keota pitcher Kalib West, who struck out seven batters in three innings.
Jarrett Frazier-Barter (0-1) took the loss as he went the first 2.1 innings with seven strikeouts.
