Former Muldrow Lady Bulldog, UAFS Lions see basketball season end

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Former Muldrow Lady Bulldog Hannah Boyett and the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith Lions saw their basketball season come to a close Friday night with a 79-73 loss to Missouri Western in the quarterfinals of the MIAA Conference Tournament at Municipal Auditorium. It was the first time the Lions (18-10) played in the conference.

Boyett scored five points, grabbed three rebounds, had two assists and recorded a steal.

For the season, Boyett, who played after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer in July, averaged 5.8 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists and a little less than a steal and a blocked shot per game.
