Gary Don Owens

July 26, 1947 – Feb. 24, 2025

Gary Don Owens, 77, of Roland, was born on July 26, 1947, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Colene (Myers) Payton and Gurley Owens. He passed away on Monday, Feb. 24, 2025, in Roland.

He held various jobs from construction to truck driving.

Survivors are four children, Brandi Vann and Wade of Roland, Brian Owens and Libby of Muldrow, Laramie Owens and Heather of Watertown, S.D., and Holli Ring and Andrew of Watertown; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Darlene Wood and Tex of Sallisaw; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Clara Belle Owens; and two brothers, Gurley and Bobby Owens.

Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
