Funeral services for Austin “Junior” O’Neal, 81, of Liberty were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, at Living Water Fellowship Church in Roland. Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. O’Neal was born on April 2, 1943, in Liberty to Vera Eva (Rogers) O’Neal and Austin Percy O’Neal. He passed away on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, in Fort Smith, Ark.
He married Carol Moss on Oct. 26, 1968, in Fort Smith.
Mr. O’Neal was an auto body repairman. Survivors are his wife, Carol O’Neal of the home; daughter, Christy O’Neal of Roland; one son, Greg O’Neal and Lisa of Roland; three grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth O’Neal and Sandra of Liberty; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers were Austin O’Neal, Tyler Wilson, Ed Satterfield, Bill O’Neal, Jerry Osborne and Scott Ellis.
Honorary pallbearers were Jim Satterfield, Eddie Joe DeCroo, Tommy McCreight, Danny Redden, Lynn Alsup, Don Stites, Merle Copeland, Ronnie Hoover and Joe Atkinson.
