Roland wrestling trio competes at regionals, misses out on state

BLACKWELL — Three Roland Rangers wrestlers — 132-pounder Austin Foster, 155-pounder Miguel Chavez-Trammell and 190-pounder Drew Simpson — competed at the Class 3A Regional Tournament last Friday and Saturday.

Unfortunately, none of them placed high enough to qualify for this weekend’s Class 3A State Tournament, which will be this Friday and Saturday at Okla-homa City’s Jim Norick State Fair Arena.

Last weekend ended up concluding the inaugural Roland High School wrestling season.
