Funeral services for Cecil Chambers, 83, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, at the Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow. Burial followed at Memory Garden Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Services, Inc.
Mr. Chambers was born on Oct. 23, 1941, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Pauline (Martin) Coughran and Arthur Chambers. He died on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025.
He worked as a factory supervisor and as a supervisor for Abilities Unlimited of Fort Smith. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, camping, gardening, and music. He also volunteered at Meals on Wheels. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors are his wife, Karen Ella (Johnson) Chambers; four sons, David Chambers and Janet of Broken Arrow, Dion Chambers and Shelia of Muldrow, Randy Chambers of Montana, and Scott Chambers and Tricia of Muldrow; two sisters, Reba Heathcock and Mary McLaughin, both of Muldrow; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Jennifer James; brother, Charles Chambers; and sister, Dorothy Woody.
Pallbearers were Darrin Bercher, Chris Turpin, Kyle Coatney, Logan Coatney, David R. Chambers, Mason James, Ian Bellisario and Billy James.
