Maralene Clark Hindman Hamett

Sept. 21, 1934 – Feb. 1, 2025

Funeral services for Maralene Clark (Hindman) Hamett, 90, were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial was at Brushy Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hamett was born on Sept. 21, 1934, in Brushy to Allan Hindman and Virgie Hindman. She passed away on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, in Oklahoma City.

She was a 1953 graduate of Binger High School. She began her career working for AT&T as an operator, then trainer and supervisor. She was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed reading and participating in activities at the Senior Center.

Survivors are a son, Randy Hamett of North Carolina; daughter, Sandra Thrash of Texas; two sisters, Jean Fowler of Florida and Zelma Arnold of Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Quinton Hindman, Charles Hindman and Ricky Hindman; and one sister, Julia Hill.
