CASA for Children is making an urgent call for compassionate adults to step up and make a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children. The need for volunteers has never been greater, and we’re seeking community members willing to be a voice for children in the court system.
Every child deserves to feel safe and supported. CASA volunteers (Court Appointed Special Advocates) play a critical role by standing alongside children during their time in the child welfare system, ensuring their needs are met and advocating for a stable, loving home. Right now, too many children are waiting for someone to speak up for them.
With the New Year approaching, there is no better time to make a resolution to give back to your community. Consider becoming a CASA volunteer. It’s an opportunity to make a lasting impact and give children hope for a brighter future.
No previous training or experience is required – just a heart for helping kids. CASA will provide a comprehensive training course that will provide the knowledge and support you need to confidently advocate for children in need. Volunteer training classes are forming now to begin in January 2025.
Your time and compassion can change a child’s story. If you live in Muskogee, Sequoyah, Wagoner, or McIntosh counties, CASA may be the perfect place for you. For more information or to sign up for the January training visit www.casaok.org or contact Jenny Crosby at jenny@casaok.org or 918-685-1501.
