Indian Capital Technology Center (ICTC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ginger Knight to its Board of Education, effective Nov. 6. Knight succeeds Jerry Needham, who has served the board with dedication and commitment.
With over 31 years of experience in education, including 11 years in administrative roles, Knight brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the ICTC Board. Currently serving as the superintendent of Woodall Public Schools, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to improving educational outcomes and fostering a positive school culture. Her initiatives as an administrator have significantly enhanced student achievement and staff morale.
Knight holds a Master of Education in School Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Northeastern State University. Throughout her career, she has held various leadership positions, including principal at Woodall Public Schools and Midway Public Schools, and assistant principal at McAlester Public Schools.
In addition to her administrative roles, Knight is a member of the Oklahoma School Advisory Council and has served on the Executive Committee of the Oklahoma Association of School Administrators. She is also a certified educator with the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards, reflecting her commitment to professional development and excellence in education.
Her talents have been recognized by Checotah Public Schools where she was selected as their Teacher of the Year. Beyond her professional a c h i e veme nt s , Knight has actively participated in numerous community initiatives, including the Kaboom Playground Project, where she coordinated efforts to build a community playground, and she has served as a team captain for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. She is also a former director of Checotah’s Youth Football and Cheerleading and is a member of Beta Sigma Phi International.
