The Gans Grizzlies, who were 11-13 last season and got to the Class A Regional Tournament consolation quarterfinals, should be an experienced squad this new season.
The Grizzlies return 11 players from a season ago for coach Brian Morton — seniors Jarrett Frazier- Barret and Caiden Kennedy, juniors Bryce Stevens, Harley Strahm, Aidan Garcia, Jessie Phillips, Gabriel Christopherson and Leland Locust and sophomores Jaxon Ragsdale, Jaxon England and Garrett Overby.
Rounding out the roster are senior TaeShawn Achan, sophomores Preston Bennett, Marshall Neal and Phoenix Xiong and freshmen Hunter Edwards, Lucas Flute, Christian Gaona, Lorenzo Garcia, Jasper Green, Kenlee Green and Austin Hines.
The Grizzlies will begin the season at 7:30 p.m. Monday with a Riverside Conference home game against the Okay Mustangs at Bryant “Big Country” Reeves Fieldhouse.
The Grizzlies will have to find someone to fill the void of former Gans Grizzly big man Josh Brunk, who is now a Central Tiger.
