Graveside service for Paul Mattox, 75, of Sallisaw, was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Mattox was born on April 18, 1949, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Charles Ernest Mattox and Lou Elba (Martin) Mattox. He died on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024, in Sallisaw.
He was a 1967 graduate of Sallisaw High School, and a sales representative for Oklahoma Nursing Home Supply for many years. He was also a sports enthusiast and enjoyed horse races.
He married Janice Lee Robison on Feb. 24, 1984. She preceded him in death on July 30, 2023.
Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie and Brian Stites of Sallisaw; one son, Jeff and Stacy Mattox of Alma, Ark.; one brother, Brent and Starlett Mattox of Sallisaw; step-mom, Linda Mattox and Garrett Haiflich of Sallisaw; seven grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers were Brian Stites, Donovan Baldridge, Keagan Thomas, Landon West, Andrew Kaelin and Jeff Mattox.
