Memorial service for June Ellen Batey, 73, of Roland, was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services, under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Services.

Ms. Batey was born on June 13, 1951, in California to Elmer and Faye (Simpson) Batey. She died on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, in Roland.

She was a dog groomer. Survivors include one son, Teddy and Kim Sigel; one sister, Tina Shelby; two grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Doris Maples, Deloris Allen and Alene Ulery; and two brothers, James Batey and John Batey.
