EDMOND — Emporia State University senior receiver Tyler Kahmann set the singleseason receiving record, but the Hornets saw their season come to an end with a 55-38 loss to the eighth-ranked Central Oklahoma Bronchos last Saturday afternoon at Chad Richison Stadium.
The win for the Bronchos (10-1 overall, 8-1 in MIAA Conference play) clinched the conference championship.
Emporia State ends the season 7-4 overall and 5-4 in conference play, their fourth straight non-losing season and 33rd season with at least seven wins in school history.
In defeat, former Muldrow Bulldog Trenden Collins caught 12 passes for 178 yards and a 73-yard touchdown pass from Gunnar Gundy, son of Oklahoma State Cowboys coach Mike Gundy. For the season, Collins caught 76 passes for 791 yards and four TDs.
