A Saturday evening collision that occurred five miles north of Muldrow has claimed the life of a Tahlequah man, according to an accident report issued by Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).
OHP Trooper Aden #211 of Troop C reported Kendall Asher, 61, was operating a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle just after 10 p.m. on E. 1070 Rd., 450 feet west of S. 4720 Rd. through dense fog.
The trooper said Asher departed the roadway to the right, re-entered the roadway, and laid the motorcycle down, making contact with the roadway.
According to the report, Asher was transported by Pafford EMS to Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark., where he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel due to injuries he sustained in the collision.
The trooper listed the cause of the collision as unsafe speed in inclement weather, and reported Asher was not wearing a helmet.
Aden was also assisted by Trooper Harriman of Troop C, Sequoyah County Sheriff ’s Office and Maple Fire Department.
