PRAGUE — The Roland Rangers were hoping to keep their playoff hopes alive last Friday night, but unfortunately that did not happen as they lost 48-0 to the host Prague Red Devils.
The Rangers (1-8 overall, 1-5 in District 2AII-3 play) will close out the regular season at 7 p.m. this Friday night with a home game against district champion Kingston (8-1, 6-0) on Senior Night at Ranger Stadium.
The Red Devils (4-5, 2-4), who also are out of playoff contention, took a 16-0 lead after a quarter, which became a 40-0 halftime lead. Prague scored eight points in the third quarter to complete the scoring.
The Red Devils dominated the Rangers, outgaining them 438 yards to 104 — with 444 rushing yards by Prague being the key statistic.
