ROGERS, Ark. — The Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings cross country team finished as regional runners-up at last Saturday’s NJCAA Region II Cross Country Championships and qualified all of their runners to the national meet.
The Lady Vikings scored 47 points, finishing eight points behind regional champion Arkansas- Rich Mountain (39 points).
Two Lady Vikings made the top five as Calli Connally was third (19:17.75) and Lindsey Wortham was fourth (19:21.67).
A third Lady Viking, Alexe Pickle, made the top 10 as she was ninth (21:04.15).
Former Muldrow Lady Bulldog Kennady Moore was among a trio of Lady Vikings who made the top 20 as Moore was 15th (21:49.11). Aubrey Pursell was right behind Moore in 16th place (21:52.32), while Eliana Berger was 18th (22:05.43).
CASC’s Lin Lee was 22nd (22:30.88) in the women’s regional race.
The NJCAA National Cross Country Championships will take place Nov. 9 in Richmond, Va.
