The postseason has arrived for the local cross country runners as they will run in their respective regional meets on Saturday.
The Muldrow Lady Bulldogs and ’Dogs will run in the Class 4A Regional Meet beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at Henryetta’s Nichols Park.
The top six teams will qualify everyone for the state meet, which will take place Nov. 2 at Edmond Santa Fe High School. Also, the top seven individuals who are not a member of the top six state-qualifying teams will earn at-large bids to the state meet.
The Roland Lady Rangers and Rangers also will be at Nichols Park for the Class 3A Regional Meet that will begin at 10:45 a.m.
The top five teams automatically will qualify all members to the state meet Nov. 2 at Edmond Santa Fe High School, as well as the top seven individuals not on one of the state-qualifying teams also will make state.
The Central Lady Tigers and Central’s Kyle Reed will participate in the Class 2A Regional Meet at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at North Rock Creek High School near Shawnee.
The top five teams automatically will qualify all their members to the state Meet Nov. 2 at Edmond Santa Fe High School.
In Reed’s case, if he is among the top 12 individuals who are not on one of the five teams who qualify everyone to state, he, too, will be a state qualifier.
