On Thursday evening, members of the Muldrow Town Council gathered to sign a proclamation, declaring October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. “It is exciting to see the support shown for domestic violence victims/survivors,” Cindy Smith, Sequoyah County Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault investigator, said. “To Mayor Catherine Jones (front, center), Police Chief Tim Keith, the town council, Muldrow Police Department and the citizens of Muldrow, we thank you! Let it be known domestic violence will not be tolerated.”
