Former Muldrow Bulldog’s Emporia State Hornets sting Missouri Southern
JOPLIN, Mo. — In his first career start Chase Ricke threw for a career high 485 yards as No. 18 Emporia State picked up a 49-30 win at Missouri Southern on Saturday afternoon.
Getting the start in place of Gunnar Gundy, who missed the trip with an illness, Ricke was 37of-46 for 485 yards with three touchdowns while adding seven yards and a TD on the ground.
Former Muldrow Bulldog Trenden Collins had seven catches for a career high 156 yards and a 6-yard touchdown pass from Ricke.
The Hornets will head into their bye week with a record of 6-1 overall and 4-1 in MIAA Conference play. Their next action will be Oct. 26 at Nebraska-Kearney.
