Brushy cross country girls sixth at ORES State Meet; Lady Mountaineer medals with ninth-place finish

SHAWNEE — The Brushy Lady Mountaineers cross country team finished sixth in the 2024 Organization of Rural Elementary Schools (ORES) State Cross Country Meet, which took place Oct. 4 at North Rock Creek High School. The Lady Mountaineers scored 155 points.

One Lady Mountaineer, Elizabeth Fleetwood, earned a medal as she was ninth with a time of 10:13.11.

As for other Brushy runners, Peyton Campbell was 18th (10:28.58), Avie Lamp was 19th (10:29.91), Lilly McInerney was 47th (11:36.68), Jaden Fleetwood was 62nd (12:14.15) and Tayah Pena was 74th (12:37.45).

Liberty’s Hayley Bentley was 77th (12:47.84).
