The U. S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma has announced that Trevor S. McGuire, 24, of Muldrow, has entered a guilty plea to one count of arson in Indian Country.
The indictment alleges that around May 26, 2024, Mc-Guire willfully and maliciously set fire to a dwelling.
The crime occurred in Sequoyah County, within the boundaries of the Cherokee Nation Reservation, in the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
The charge arose from an investigation by the Muldrow Police Department and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
The Honorable Jason A. Robertson, Magistrate Judge, accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a pre-sentence investigation report.
McGuire will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshal Service pending sentencing.
