EMPORIA, Kan. — Gunnar Gundy threw for 404 yards and two touchdowns and added three more rushing touchdowns as No. 18 Emporia State defeated Northeastern State 4814 last Saturday afternoon at Welch Stadium.
The Hornets led 21-0 after the first quarter and held a 42-7 lead at the half.
Gundy finished the game 40-of-56 for 404 yards with two touchdowns through the air while adding three rushing scores.
Emporia State had 11 different receivers catch at least two passes in the game with former Muldrow Bulldog Trenden Collins pulling down nine catches for 71 yards.
The Hornets (5-1 overall, 4-1 in MIAA Conference play) will hit the road to meet Missouri Southern at 1 p.m. this Saturday in Joplin, Mo.
