Brushy e-sports team wins first-ever Middle School Open Qualifier

The Brushy Public Schools e-sports team won its first-ever Oklahoma Esports League (OESL) Middle School Open Qualifier for Super Smash Brothers, which took place Sept. 28 at Brushy Schools.

The event brought in numerous schools from across the state. Not only were the Mountaineers the host team, they ended up winning first place that ended up going into a two-match finals competition against Bixby.

This was another first for the Brushy e-sports program as it continues to grow.

The three-player team that won it all consisted of Silas Cook, Liam Plattner and Owen Plattner. Coaches are Arica Walters and Cody Walters.
