Funeral services for Carolyn Sue (Ford) Suttle, 84, formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2024, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Burial was at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Suttle was born on May 31, 1940, in Marble City to William Emerson Ford and Clara Elizabeth (Perry) Ford. She died on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, in Plano, Texas.
She was a 1958 graduate of Sallisaw High School where she played on the women’s basketball team. She worked at the Sequoyah County Courthouse and retired from the Sequoyah County Tax Assessor’s Office, and was a member of Sallisaw Church of Christ.
She married Robert Earl Suttle on June 12, 1964, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2024.
Survivors include one daughter, Robbin E. Suttle Dill and Matt Dill of Plano; three brothers, Bill Ford, Clifton Ford and Johnnie Ford; one grandchild; and other family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Wyatt, Ronnie and E.B. Ford; and four sisters, Betty J. Sanders, Berniece Wilkins, Eldee Miller and Sylvia Stephens.
Pallbearers were Matt Dill, Kurt Stephens, Keith Darcy, Larry Spears, Cana Hall and John Brewer.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
