The Oklahoma Historical Society (OHS) opened applications for the 2024-25 grant cycle of the Oklahoma Heritage Preservation Grant Program on September 2.
This grants-in-aid program will set aside $600,000 to award grants ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 to municipal, county, or tribal governments; not-for-profit historical organizations; and support groups for these entities. All notfor- profit applicants must be registered and in good standing with the Oklahoma Secretary of State. The grants will be specific to four categories: collections, exhibits, programs and capacity building.
The online application process will close on Nov. 1, at 5 p.m. Draft applications are due October 7, for applicants wishing to receive optional draft application feedback. Award announcements will be made in January 2025.
Online workshops to inform the public about this program are scheduled for Sept. 3, at 1 p.m. and Sept. 9, at 3 p.m. To see the program’s official rules and sign up for the online workshops, visit okhistory.org/ grants or contact Nicole Harvey at 405-5225202 or grants@history. ok.gov.
