The Muldrow Lady Bulldogs, who were 1116 last fall, are primed to take on all challenges in 2024, which will begin at 4:30 p.m. Monday with the District 4A-6 opener at Broken Bow.
The Lady Bulldogs return six of their nine starters from a season ago, led by senior infielder/ outfielder Danica Tune (.380 batting average last fall) and senior infielder Raya Keenan (.151).
Juniors back are third baseman Amaya Duran (.370 batting average last fall), pitcher/shortstop Kaydence Young (.353) and pitcher/utility player Jaydin Dean (.329).
Sophomore catcher Amarie Duran (.379) completes the returning starters back for thirdyear coach Luke Folkerts.
Three other key players for the Lady Bulldogs this season will be senior outfielder Eve Keenan and freshmen infielders/outfielders Kesslyn Pratt and Raegan Newbern.
Rounding out the roster are Madi Williams, Olivia Proctor, Kynlee Thomas, Rylie Wilson, Cherish Atkerson, Kilah Ellingberg, Taelor Newbern, KeyLee Thompson and Jordan Johnson.
“I expect this team to compete and win with whoever we play,” Folkerts said. “We have a good core who is returning. If we produce some run support for our pitchers, we will be very competitive. We have some new roles for everyone, but we have a good group of girls who will figure it out.”
