Ombudsman volunteers are an important part of the Long-Term Care Ombudsmen Program, serving as advocates for residents in nursing homes, assisted living, and residential care facilities.
The goal of the program is to have volunteers at every facility to empower residents and their families. Ombudsman volunteers assist in addressing concerns to improve the overall quality of life and care while being the voice for those unable or unwilling to speak up for themselves.
The program will provide supervision and support for volunteers with free monthly training and continuing education. If you would like to be a part of our advocacy efforts, the next online training is Aug. 12-16.
