Graveside services for Dave Parsons Jr., 80, of Sallisaw were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Akins Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Parsons was born on Jan. 15, 1944, to David Soloman Parsons and Lillian Mattie (Hannings) Parsons. He died on Saturday, July 13, 2024, in Sallisaw.
He was a retired warehouse worker for Whirlpool and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He married Wanda Sue Rhodes on Dec. 2, 1967, in Muldrow.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Parsons of the home; one daughter, Sheila Parsons of Muldrow; one son, Paul and Catherine Parsons of Muldrow; two sisters, Julie Ziemba and Lori Gregory both of Sallisaw; two grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Davey Wayne Parsons.
