The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma has announced that Beau D. Morton, 41, of Muldrow, has entered a guilty plea to two separate counts of an indictment.
The Government indictment alleged that from March 24, 2022, to April 6, 2022, Morton knowingly maintained a premises for the purpose of distributing and using a controlled substance.
The indictment also alleged that on April 6, 2022, Morton knowingly possessed a firearm and ammunition as an unlawful user of a controlled substance.
The charges arose from an investigation by the Sequoyah County Sheriff ’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
The Honorable Gerald L. Jackson, Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a pre-sentence investigation report.
Morton was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal Service pending sentencing.
