The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Marco Antonio Naranjo-Aguilar, 30, of Sacramento, Calif. was sentenced to 235 months for one count of possession with Intent to distribute methamphetamine.
The charges arose from an investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
On Jan. 9, 2023, Naranjo- Aguilar pleaded guilty to the charge. According to investigators, on Jan. 20, 2022, Naranjo- Aguilar led officers on a high-speed pursuit on Oklahoma Interstate-40 in Sequoyah County.
Upon apprehending and arresting Naranjo-Aguilar, law enforcement seized approximately 22.3 kilograms of methamphetamine from his vehicle.
The Honorable Ronald A. White, Chief Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, presided over the hearings. Naranjo-Aguilar was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal Service pending sentencing.
