ABB, the leading NEMA motor manufacturer in North America, awarded a $3,000 scholarship to Devon Holland, a Pre-Med student at the University of Oklahoma.
Holland was selected based on academic achievements, extracurricular involvement and commitment to community service.
Holland exhibits exceptional potential with a strong desire to attain higher education and make positive contributions to society.
The ABB Motor and Mechanical Scholarship is awarded annually to employees and their children and funded by the Baldor Foundation.
It provides financial aid to assist in the pursuit of undergraduate, vocational or technical school degrees.
ABB has awarded these scholarships since 2010. This year, ABB awarded $58,000 in scholarships nationwide.
“This scholarship program is one of the many ways we demonstrate our appreciation to our employees,” said Jesse Henson, president of ABB’s NEMA Motors Division.
“Investing in what matters most to them – the future of their children – is a priority for ABB. It is an honor to play a part in helping their children achieve their dreams.”
