BRUSHY — Brushy Schools set a school record of 25 students that qualified for MSEL Playoffs this spring along with a record of six games being played in the playoffs series.
Seventh-grader Easton Branham took first place in his bracket this spring for chess, making it the second time in three years that Brushy esports has had a chess champion.
Two students, Silas Cook and Owen Plattner, made a trip to Oklahoma City U.S. Grant High School in April for the OESL Super Smash State Championship, making that the team’s third straight appearance at state.
Plans are already in the works for the upcoming school year as the school continues to grow its program for its kids.
