Roland boys golf duo qualifies for regionals

CUSHING — Two Roland Rangers golfers will get to hit the links competitively for at least one more week.

Roland’s Kylan White and Brady Edmondson each qualified for this week’s Class 3A Regional Tournament, which will take place today at Arrowhead State Park Golf Course near Canadian.

At the Class 3A Regional Qualifier, which took place April 22, at Buffalo Rock Golf Course, White shot a 91 to grab the second individual berth to today’s regional, while Edmondson tied Checotah’s Aum Patel at 95 to snatch the fifth individual spot at the regional.

The Muldrow Bulldogs will be at the Class 4A Regional Tournament at Buffalo Rock Golf Course.

The top four medalists and the next three top individuals will grab berths to next week’s Class 3A State Tournament, which will take place next Wednesday and Thursday at Muskogee Golf Club.

The Class 4A State Tournament for the Bulldogs will take place next Wednesday and Thursday at Shangri- La Golf Course at Monkey Island near Grand Lake.
