MUSKOGEE — Two local track athletes won titles at the Hilldale Invitational, which took place April 5.
Muldrow’s Maysi Fields was the champion of the discus (86-4), while Roland’s Dalton Crossno was the shot put champion (43-4).
As for other Lady Bulldogs Muldrow’s Emma Fields was second (14:54.21) and Isabelle Rogers was fifth (19:19.39) in the 3,200-meter run, Cailey Grinstead was runner- up (2:47.2) and Tiphany Martinez was third (2:48.78) in the 800-meter run, Kennady Moore was third in the 1,600-meter run (6:44.44), Jensi Fields was third in the discus (83-5 and Chloee Clark was fourth in the long jump (14-7).
As a team, the Lady Bulldogs finished fourth with 50 points.
As for other Rangers, Landon Killer was third in the 800-meter run (2:16.85), Logen Thomas was fourth in the shot put (39-11.5), Braxton Prewett was fifth in the discus (108-2) and D.J. Massey was fifth in the high jump (5-8).
The Rangers saw their 800-meter relay team of Lateevis Jones, Uriah Phillips, Mason Kemp and Trevor Lasiter finish sixth (1:39.82).
The Rangers finished 12th with 12 points.
The Muldrow Bulldogs’ highest finisher was Teaguen Collins as he placed second in both the high jump (60) and the 400-meter dash (52.65 seconds), while placing fifth in the long jump (19-0) and sixth in the 100-meter dash (11.5).
As for other ’Dogs, Kendal Howell was fifth in the 3,200-meter run (12:28.25) and Mark Gleason was sixth in the shot put (39-0) as they finished 10th with 20 points.
Also in the girls’ division, the Roland Lady Rangers were 11th with 17 points. Halle Freeman was fourth in the high jump (4-8) to be their lone individual placer.
However, two of the Roland girls’ relay teams placed as Mira Reagan, Addyson Clark, Halle Freeman and Haven Freeman were fourth in the 400-meter relay, while Reagan, Brooklyn Hallbauer and both Freemans were fifth in the 800-meter relay (1:53.2).
