CROWDER — The Muldrow Bulldogs baseball team suffered a 9-7 road loss to the Crowder Demons on April 8.
That ended up being the only game the Bulldogs (12-7) played last week since their April 9 road game at Panama was rained out, and Thursday’s road game at Glenpool had been canceled several weeks ago.
An eight-run first inning doomed the ‘Dogs, but they made a rally that came up short as they scored twice in the third inning, once in the fifth inning, twice in the sixth inning and once in the seventh inning to cut the deficit to 9-7.
In defeat, Jonah Claborn was 2-for-4 with a double, Colton Pulliam doubled with two runs batted in, Reid Sutton doubled with two RBIs and a run scored and Will Stratmann doubled and scored once for Muldrow.
The Bulldogs were slated to play a road district doubleheader against Broken Bow on Monday, then play back-to-back district games against Poteau — at 5 p.m. Friday at home and at noon Saturday at Poteau’s Town Creek Park.
