FORT SMITH, Ark. — Two local golfers took home the top two medalist honors at the 2024 Muldrow Girls Invitational, which took place March 11 at Ben Geren Golf Course.
Sallisaw’s Avery Haywood beat Muldrow’s Claire Tabor by two strokes — 87 to 89 — to take the top medalist honors. Tabor was the runner-up medalist.
As a team, the Lady Bulldogs were second with a team score of 421. The Eufaula Lady Ironheads won the team title with a 395.
For the Lady Bulldogs after Tabor, Charity Moss shot a 108, followed by Cailey Grinstead with a 111, Teanna Bark with a 113 and Zalie Isa with a 127.
The three Roland Lady Rangers golfers also participated in the season-opening event. Izzy O’Neal had the best score of the Roland trio with a 118, followed by Lilly Medicine Bird with a 121 and Jazzy Harrison with a 127.
