For families at local libraries
The Sequoyah and Adair County Health Departments will offer fun, no-cost My-Plate classes during the month of March. Led by Health Educator, Kassandra Briggs, participants will learn about healthy swaps that can be made to everyday or special event recipes.
“The class is a great opportunity for parents and youth to come learn about the importance of healthy eating with the guidance of local public health educators. We will discuss the USDA’s MyPlate standards, the five updated food groups, and what their benefits are to the body,” Briggs said.
To sign-up, call the Sequoyah County Health Department at 918-775-6201, or any of the libraries listed below.
