Don’t Die in Your Sins
“Then Jesus said to them again, “I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come.” “And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.”
“Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins” (John 8:21-29).
The Saving Season for salvation in Jesus is every day of the year and you must not delay your decision in Him. We celebrate His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension on Resurrection Sunday.
Lost Opportunity
Jesus had already told the religious leaders that He was going away. “I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come.” Again they misunderstood. They had studied the Scriptures and in their self-righteousness, ignorance and know-it-all attitude kept them in unbelief. They were so busy judging and accusing Him that they missed their opportunity for salvation in Him. Jesus had given them evidence that He was the Son of God, but they rejected the evidence.
If you are numbered among the millions who are judging Him today, you will also “die in your sins” unless you ask forgiveness, repent and place your faith in Him…believing Him.
Have you believed? Do not waste your opportunity to believe in Him.
“Therefore …if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”
Do not be among those “whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them” (2 Cor. 4:4).
Today, there is no reason to live and die in unbelief. We have the written Word of God. Pick up the Bible and begin in the Gospel of John, you will find salvation in Him. Don’t allow Satan to claim your soul in Hell!
Jesus tells us why you choose unbelief… “men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed” (John 3:1721).
Choosing to Believe
“Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things… And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him…As He spoke these words, many believed in Him” (Jn.8:28-29).
He was speaking of His death on the Cross. He was exalted and glorified. “Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out… And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself ” (John 12:31-33).
Not all who were listening to Jesus were negative in thought and accusing Him. There were many who listened to the “truth” and “believed in Him.”
Believers have eternal life and our “citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ… who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself ” (Phil 3:20-4:1).
Believers have been transported out of the kingdom of Satan and into the Kingdom of God awaiting, and “looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13). Amen, Praise God, Thank You Jesus for my salvation.
For All Unbelievers
Your salvation is a matter of life or death! You can walk in darkness and live in sin… Hell, or you can walk in light and have eternal life…Heaven! What will you choose to do… It’s your choice!
The Centurion cried out, “Truly this Man was the Son of God!” (Mark 15:39).
