LEFLORE — The 2024 high school baseball season got off on the right paws for the Muldrow Bulldogs as they routed the host Leflore Savages by a score of 13-1 in a game called after three innings due to run rule.
The Bulldogs (10) put away the game early with a nine-run first inning for a 9-0 lead. After the Savages scored in their half of the first inning, Muldrow put the game into run-rule status with a four-run second inning.
For the game, Reid Sutton, who signed in December with Seminole State College, was 3-for-3 with a double, his first home run of the season, four runs batted in and two runs scored, while Will Stratmann was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI.
Jonah Claborn (1-0) got the win, pitching a one-hitter with five strikeouts.
