Former Muldrow Bulldog Tyren Collins and the John Brown Golden Eagles men’s basketball team split their final two games of the regular season as they rallied late to down Southwestern Christian 66-62 on Thursday night in Bethany, but then lost 84-79 to Mid-America Christian on Saturday at Bill George Arena in Siloam Springs, Ark.
In the win over Southwestern Christian, Collins scored four points and four rebounds for JBU.
In the loss to Mid-America Christian, Collins scored eight points, grabbed nine rebounds and had two steals for the Golden Eagles (1512 overall, 13-9 in Sooner Athletic Conference play).
The Golden Eagles will begin play in the 2024 SAC Tournament, where they Southwestern A.G., Texas, at 6 p.m. Thursday at Sheaffer Center in Waxahachie, Texas.
