The Oklahoma Tax Commission recently released city sales tax collection figures that primarily represents local tax receipts from December business. The monies they reported this period represent sales from Dec. 16 to 31 and estimated sales from Jan. 1 to 15.
Statewide, the disbursement of $203,878,986 in sales tax collections returned to the cities and towns reflected a increase of $752,956 from the $203,126,030 distributed to the cities and towns in February last year. The use tax disbursement to cities and town was $43,945,892 according to the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
In county returns, the counties shared in a $33,726,343 sales tax disbursement and a $8,459,895 use tax disbursement.
