CHECOTAH — The Brushy Wrestling Club qualified 16 members to last weekend’s Oklahoma Kids Wrestling Association (OKWA) State Tournament, which took place Friday and Saturday at Oklahoma City’s Jim Norick State Fair Arena.
At the OKWA Southeast Regional Tournament on Feb. 10, of the 15 members who qualified for state, four were crowned regional champions — Layten Cross, Liliana Guerrero, Gipsee Reed and Charlie Petree.
Hayley Bentley, Avie Lamp and Abel Glover were regional runnersup, while Isaac Glover, Silas Grayson and Jesse Bentley were third.
Seth Glover, Ruby Johnson and Rocklyn Johnson were fourth as Rocklyn Johnson won two fourth-place medals, Tristen Cross was fifth and Rylan Henry was sixth.
