The Sequoyah County Historical Society will meet at 2 p.m. on Sunday Feb. 18, at our museum at 200 E. Creek in Sallisaw.
Each year, the program for the first meeting of the Society is “Show and Tell.” Considered to be one of the most interesting meetings of the year, members and guests are invited to bring a keepsake or historical object to “Show and Tell” about. They do not have to be Sequoyah County related.
The public is always invited to all our meetings. We meet quarterly on the third Sunday of the months of February, May, August and November at 2 p.m. Our museum is open on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Historical Society is 52-years-old.
A reception follows each meeting at which time, everyone can visit, ask questions and view the museums collections.
