In 2023 lewd molestation case
A local man charged with two felony counts of lewd molestation in Sequoyah County District Court is scheduled to appear for a jury trial sounding docket at 9 a.m. on March 21, according to Sequoyah County court records.
Nathan R. Horn, 33, was formally charged on March 10, 2023, and received a $50,000 bond on Aug. 2, 2023.
According to the original probable cause affidavit filed in the case, Sallisaw Police Detective Andrew Edwards reported on Jan. 12, 2023, a forensic interview was conducted with the alleged victim regarding allegations made against Horn by the alleged victim, and the alleged victim’s mother.
During the interview, the alleged victim told authorities they were allegedly raped by Horn from the time they were 10 to 11-years-old, with one of the alleged incidents first occurring at an apartment complex in Sallisaw.
The affidavit also stated that Horn told the alleged victim that if they told anyone about the alleged sexual abuse, he would kill family members of the victim’s.
District Attorney Jack Thorp said if found guilty of the crime, each charge is punishable by imprisonment in the custody of the Department of Corrections for not less than 25 years.
