Former Bulldog, JBU men split games last week

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. — Former Muldrow Bulldog Tyren Collins and the John Brown University Golden Eagles basketball team split their games last week, beating North Texas-Dallas 57-54 on Thursday at Bill George Arena, but the Golden Eagles lost Saturday’s home game 85-70 to Southwestern A.G., Texas.

In Thursday’s win, Collins scored six points and grabbed five rebounds for the Golden Eagles (13-10 overall, 11-7 in Sooner Athletic Conference play).

In Saturday’s loss, Collins had four points and six boards for JBU, which will return to action at 8 p.m. this Thursday when they travel to Chickasha to play the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma Drovers at Drover Fieldhouse.
